Earlier today, at OSCON, David Recordon announced the creation of the Open Web Foundation. In an effort not to make the same mistakes that were made with certain :cough:Microsoft:cough:Apple:cough: operation systems, the Open Web Foundation has been established to "create a home for community-driven specifications" in regards the web and the way we use it.

Open Web Foundation: A better tomorrow
Project Pier - Open source project management
As you can tell I've been busy lately with posting quite a few blog entries—well today at least. So much so, that I was going to save this entry for tomorrow but I decided to proceed since all I get on Twitter is the phail whale.
While doing a search for "cincinnati web" over at twitter, trying to find some interesting webologists to follow, I came across Renee Rist. Apparently she runs her own freelancing company, Ribbons of Red, out of Cincinnati. Aside from it being a very well done site, I noticed her "client area". I proceeded to click on it, as I
Organization through Wiki
Well, I have finally come to realize that I need to setup a personal wiki. As I mentioned in some earlier blog posts, I wanted this site to be more than just information about me. I want it to be information FOR me; and for anyone else who may need some answers to various/numerous web questions.

Drup-ol has launched!
Well, I have finally loaded up Drupal 6 for my Drup-ol (Drupal-Out Loud) sandbox. It has taken longer than expected, but I have a new task in front of me. I have been asked to develop a way for users to create a directory entry to list their information. This entry needs to include basic information and detailed information about the person, while being search-able. The search-able listings will need to just display a teaser view providing the basics and a more detailed variation when clicked. While this is rather straight forward in Drupal 6, the next part is not.
Move over Vista, Linux is here
It has begun. From the depths of the underground, it has seeped into my computer as I now wear the mark of the Linux Kool-Aid mustache. Flavor: Ubuntu. I must say, it's quite tasty.
Now if you are one that knows me personally, I over glorify every new piece of technology and only a few end up sticking around. From new browsers, to text editors, integrated development environments and even development platforms, I'm all over the board. But this time is different or at least it feels like it.
